How would you go about getting a homestay/ living in japan??

It is my dream that after my uni course (honours degree in I.T) to live in Japan for about 8 months on a homestay arrangement!

Apparntly this is difficult when you are not on a japanese learning course that seems to have benefits when it comes to this!


So can anyone help me?

I currently live in England, and have all my life. So how would I go about getting a home stay arrangement? Is it possible? hard? Easy?? Please help me!!!!
