Definition Help

Hello My name is Earl. I am 21 years old and i come from Scotland.

I am new to the Japanese Language but have been finding this site a great learning resource. One day i hope to speak fluent japanese but for now i am practising for my holiday in tokyo next year.

I came across this phrase in Survival phrases 11 and wondered if anyone could help me on the romaji spelling and definition on what this phrase actually means.

futsu no Nihongo de onegai shimasu

I am not sure if it means "Can you speak informal japanese please". I would like to know. Please Help

futsuu means normal or regular

I can't remember the lesson exactly, but I think it means regular polite Japanese (teineigo) rather than honorific/humble Japanese (keigo). Keigo is commonly used by store clerks, in business situations, and sometimes to superiors, and is quite confusing and hard to master. Teineigo is used in general polite situations, like with work colleagues, people you have just met, or people you don't feel close enough to to speak casually.
