applying for a job

Postby piru » December 6th, 2006 9:21 am

Hi everybody,

My question is 'How do you write an Application in Japan'

Not planning to work or live in Japan in the near future myself, I still thought this might be interesting.
It seems that working in Japan is not an thing easy to do, unless you want to teach English.
Knowing that there are formal differences between german and english applications, I can imagine that applying japanese style is quite a difficult task.

eg presenting your qualities in a most humble and polite way like they don't exist.
 And a structure beyond western logic.

Does anyone have an example letter? Maybe even translated?
You could even get feedback on your own application on this tread, and make it a perfect one. yay.
Thought this might be useful.

Ta,
Phil.
