Living & working in Japan

Postby Akiru » September 6th, 2007 2:10 pm

Hi, I've asked a lot of native Japanese the same question and somehow, I'm not really satisfied with the answers I got so I thought someone here might help out. I have plans of living and working in Japan in the near future and I was wondering where the ideal place would be for a Gaijin like me to start out. I currently have a job as an Architectural Technologist and I do plan to work in an engineering firm in Japan later on. I hope someone can shed some light or share some insight regarding this.

First time post here so Hi to everyone.

I think that your question is a little hard to answer. Where you live will be dependent on wher ethe company you plan to work for is located. I would look for the possible jobs that you will apply for and see where the are located and then go from there.

Thanks and I understand your point. To be more specific, the location I have in mind is Okinawa. Maybe if I narrowed down my search to that place it would be more evident.
