A friend of mine is a shopping agent for Japanese products. He can be found on ebay: 11211121iori useful for those of you who would like to buy stuff from Japan but haven't mastered the lingo yet! or for buying from a website that doesn't ship overseas. Also great for acess to Japanese books...i sometimes read childrens books in Japanese! You can request any product from Japan.
Also, just bought the workbook kanji 300 learning Kanji through stories. Its a beginner workbook focusing on level 3/4 of J Language prof test. ISBN: 978 4 87424 402 9. i found it easy to use and fun!
Most people I have found on eBay will gladly help you out, if you are wanting to obtain an item that is not readily available in your area, and it is in theirs. That is, if they are already getting into a transaction with you.
Amazon.jp will ship internationally so you can cut out the middleman. But, like a previous post mentioned, anything can be bought through eBAY. (If you need something from Japan, let me know - I'm an experienced eBAYer - end shamless plug)
Since I live in Japan, I've never tried to order electronics. Thanks for letting us know. I'm actually using my old PDA with the JEdict dictionary as my electronic dictionary. Couldn't justify spending 30,000 yen for a dictionary!
