Hi,

am from the Philippines, and having to do business with japanese, I find japanesepod101 a blessing.

Japanese anime of course, is a very unique cultural offering which I also enjoyed, particularly Miyazaki's creations.

Since I speak and would also like to improve my chinese, love music, and mysteries, I went to youku and enjoyed anime by listening to japanese but reading the chinese subtitles. that way, I hit 3 birds with one stone.

Favorites are Nodame Cantabile ( about a love story between a Japanese pianist student and a Japanese violinist/conductor) and Detective conan　( a detective that has run over 20 years, andhave over 800 episodes).

Hi there!

I would definitely recommend Hunter x Hunter (2011 ver.) as a really good anime if you like action and adventure with both comedic and emotional parts to it. Also good if you like animes that have lots of very unique characters. I would seriously recommend this as the voice acting is amazing and the story is really well thought out.
It has six series but it doesn't feel too long or stretched out as there are no pointless filler episodes and the story moves seamlessly through each arc.
Also I love the soundtrack as well, it is amazing.
Would highly recommend this- a 10/10 anime!
