Help with buying from a Japanese online shop

Postby Green Airplane » August 13th, 2009 10:36 pm

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a certain item that I am told is only available here http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/store/index.asp
unfortunately my Japanese is still not good enogh to read most of the content of the website. Maybe I could find out what I need by myself, but it would take a lot of tedious deciphering. I would be grateful if someone more adept at Japanese could look at the site for me.
First thing I need to know is if the shop will ship items to Slovakia (Central Europe). It's not enough just to confirm that they ship overseas, because overseas too often means just US. If the answer is no, then I guess I'm just out of luck.
If it's yes, I'll most likely be needing more assistance with the purchase.

Thank you in advance.

They have an English page also :)

http://www.volks.co.jp/en/index.aspx

It only says that some products are only sold in Japan, so I guess it depends on what you want to order - it sounds like you can e-mail them with questions directly.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I must have been really overworked or something to overlook this. Howevr I can't locate the item on the English page. I want to buy this:
http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/moekore/pls_14horo.html
http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/shop/list/det ... PVC-MOP014
go on, laugh, I'm used to it :)
Could you please tell me whether or not I can buy this at this shop?

A hobby's a hobby, right? It's not my thing but I'm not gonna judge ya for it. Anyhow, with the way these things work one can't go very far into the registration/purchasing pages without actually registering/purchasing something. I can, however, walk you along the steps so far as I can go:

Model page:
カートに保存(save to cart)

Cart page:
変更(change)
削除(remove)
会計手続きを行う(check out)

Login page:
ボークスWebユーザに、ご登録されていない場合はこちらから登録してください。
(users not registered with BookusuWeb please register here)

Registration page should be pretty easy to figure out, except maybe:
自動で設定され、登録完了後に、メールにてお知らせいたします。
(your password will be set automatically and sent to you via email following registration)
The last two radio buttons ask if you're interested in getting information from them.

This is as far as I can go without creating an account there. If you need further help, then go ahead a PM me and we can get in touch via AIM/Skype/MSN. Assuming you take this route, you will need to be able to provide copy-paste/screenshots.

Good luck shopping!
