Sample Sentence with 輪をかける

輪をかける (wa o kakeru: to be even more (so))

彼はロック音楽に夢中だが、彼女のほうはそれに

Kare wa rokku ongaku ni muchū da ga, kanojo no hō wa sore ni
wa o kakete muchū da.
He is keen on rock music, but she is even more so.

音楽 (ongaku: music)     sound + music
夢中 (muchū: rapture, absorption, intentness; in a trance)     dream + to be absorbed in

We saw this word before. Funny how it turns into “keen” in Breen. That seems a bit simpler than anything related to a trance!
