Getting Sidetracked with 奥

In researching the inner, hidden meaning of 奥, I came across this compound:

奥歯 (okuba: molars, back teeth) inner + teeth

Look at the repetition of boxed rice (米) in that compound! I’ll enlarge the type so the common shape is even more apparent:
