A Note on the Yomi

The on-yomi of is YAKU, and you’re safe to assume that that’s the way to read it, even when stands alone. The two kun-yomi forms are tsuzu(maru), “to shrink, be summarized,” and tsuzu(meru), “to condense.” These are rarely used.
