Peter: I asked the passerby for directions. ใฏใใOn to todayโs grammar point. Naomi Sensei ใ้กใใใพใใ |
Lesson focus
|
Naomi: Todayโs grammar point is ใใ |
Peter: Now continuing on with our subordinate conjunctions, ใใwhich is also known as the ใใ conditional. So in this four part series, we are covering the many different conditionals. Now, ใใ which is a subordinate conjunction is used to indicate that an action or a state expressed in the subordinate clause basically the sentence that comes before may occur before the one expressed in the main clause. So something that precedes ใใ may happen before the main clause. Okay, and this conditional also, the first part, what precedes ใใ in the subordinate clause, the first part, the if conditional has to be satisfied for the second part to take place. And this roughly translates to when the subordinate clause takes place, the main clause will take place. So when something, something happens, then something will happen or if the first part is satisfied then the main clause will take place. So itโs very similar to the ใจ conditional. When something, something, then or if something, something is satisfied, then. Okay Naomi Sensei, ไพๆใ้กใใใพใใ |
Naomi: ้ง
ใๅบใใๅณใซๆฒใใฃใฆ |
Peter: So here is when. When something, something, then. When you leave the station, turn right. Then we have another sample and this time with the first part having to be satisfied for the second part to take place. |
Yuichi: ๅใๆญใฃใใๅใๆญใใ |
Peter: If you sing, I will sing too. So the first part โ if the first part is fulfilled, the ๅใๆญใฃใใ if you sing, ๅใๆญใ I will sing too. |
Naomi: ใใฎใผใๆๅใฎใๅใๆญใฃใใใ took place first, then ใๅใๆญใใใ the second part takes place next after the first action. ใๅใๆญใฃใๅพใงใๅใๆญใใใใฃใฆใใๆใใงใใญใ |
Outro
|
Peter: Okay, this is the third lesson of four on conditionals. Donโt forget to stop by and pick up the PDF. Inside the PDF, a nice explanation on the ใใ conditional. Three conditionals studied very closely. So donโt forget to stop by, say hi and thatโs going to do for today. |
