Dirty jokes?

My Japanese friend sent me some dirty jokes. She couldn't understand one of them. These were jokes in English, from the U.S. I asked her, "Do you have dirty jokes in Japan?" She said, "We don't have jokes". This confused me! Is it true they don't have "jokes" in Japan?

Well, my friend Sølvi in Norway told me about "rakugo"! I watched a few examples of that on YouTube. Without subs, though, I was lost, but I got the flavor of it!

I watch this j-dorama called Tiger & Dragon, which has lots of examples of both rakugo and TV-comedy. I love it

I saw some of these shows, but always a small part. It starts in the studio with women screaming 'eeeeeeeeee'. And then the presentator presents with a big smile some weird movie. Mostly about people sittin on the toilet, and suddenly the toilet turnes into a rocket. 'Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaaaaaaaaahaaaaaa!' In Holland this is called 'onderbroekenlol'. It means 'underpants jokes'. Kind of childish. But I can't deny that I laugh when I see it... Also hitting people seems to be fun. But as I only see these little parts people put on the internet, it's difficult to say if this is 'Japanese humor'. I think there is also sharper/more intellegent humor.
In Holland persiflage is a very popular kind of humor. Politicians is best! Check this if you're interested. I chose one with Bush, no use watchin a persiflage of a politician you don't know...

The best Japanese comedians I've seen are the Rahmens (ラーメンズ). They do the Apple commercials, and also the Japanese tradition videos on Youtube. Their routines are very intelligent, and very visual.
