I did not know, "wo" could be used in that way - maybe I thought to strict about using "wo" for objects receiving the action; so my first thought was that then the post itself would be addressed like "Thank you post"

Michael,
I think you are right. 「ポストをありがとっ！」is a casual form of speaking.
The full version may be something like 「ポストを書いてくれてありがとうございました」
You could probably replace ポストwith any noun and it would probably work.
EX. ノットをありがと or 宿題をありがと
Personally I drop the を too (because I'm lazy)
Come to think of think 今日(today) is a noun, but you don"t use 「を」
It would be 「今日はありがと」
Why? I'm not so sure.

I really enjoy japanese casual speech as I think it feels much closer to the other person compared to formal speech where you purposely distance yourself from the other person and even more so with 敬語-keigo.
If you ever have any questions about casual speech let me know and I will share what I know. Although this doesn't mean it is correct

This time without "wo" between the noun "otetsudai" (help) and the verb "give" (kudasatte). I saw that expression in a dictionary. So, I hope it's correct (^_^) I even saw versions (in the web) without the "kudasatte": お手伝いありがとう。
But I notice, I can get carried away so easily, even when looking up such simple phrases. Amazing, how exciting small things can get ^^

I think I have found a first mistake. I wrote: ドイツ語です to express that I am a German speaking person.
But I'm afraid that may be totally incorrect. ドイツ人です (I am German) would be more appropriate, wouldn't it?

Your name should be in katakana, and it should be first name then last name. And there should be a と between your name and 申します. So I think it should be: 私はミハエル・シライバ、「Michael Schreiber」、と申します。

そして、ドイツにいます。

I think I'd use 住む here, so you say "I live in Germany" rather than "I am in Germany": そして、ドイツに住んでいます。

私はだけちょっと日本語がわから。

This looks a bit wrong to me: I don't recognise わから although it looks like it might the negative stem of 分かる.　I think maybe it should be like these:-

私は少しだけ日本語がわかっています。
Watashi wa sukoshi dake nihongo ga wakatte imasu.

私は日本語がへたです。
Watashi wa nihongo ga heta desu.

ありがとうございます。

You can't use ありがとう to mean "thanks in advance"; it expresses thanks for something that has already been done. This is probably a good place to use: よろしくおねがいします。

The reason why I am not listening here, at the web, is that currently I am listening to the CDs of JapanesePod101 / Innovative Language - which are also great, by the way!

"to" to ha , itsumo kakareru inyou ka namae no ato ni shimasu ka? "to" to o kaiwa no naka de i_tara, ii desu ne. demo, buntsuu ka inshin no naka de kaitara, inyou to namae ha ka＿ko o iimasu ne. sore ha tadashii desu ka?

(Edit: transcribed the small "っ" as "_" to denote it is a pause. I found myself too much tempted to pronounciate it wrong. So, this way, I try to remember myself not to speak, for example, "kaKKo" but "ka" + one syllabel pause + "ko", just as suggested in the lesson - good hint, by the way!)

Sorry, I would like to ask two questions, please.
Is "to" always written after a quotation or a name? In a conversation, it makes sense to speaking "to". However, in written correspondence or letters, the brackets do mark a quotation and name. Is that right?
