I need help with a translation

Hi, I am doing a homework and I came across a sentence I don't understand very well. I would be glad if someone could help me - thanx in advance!
Btw the purporse of this homework is to rewrite the sentences from katakana to kanji and translate - and I cannot rewrite it to kanji properly since I don't understand the meaning :

セイシュンジダイのタノシイジキをオモイダスとナイタリワラッタリする。 (I dont get the second part of the sentence)

Yeah DanielFC is pretty much on target there.

I laugh and cry when I'm reminded of the fun times of my youth.

Is how I read it. I would say youth rather than teens though.
wow its hard to read that in katakana!
