Flash Card problem

Postby danparvus_502651 » November 26th, 2015 7:23 pm

Hi,

I took a break from jpod for a while, but now I'm back. But I wanted to go through all my flashcards again. So I deleted them all and uploaded the Core 100, Core 200, Core 300, Core 400, and Core 500 cards into five corresponding flash card decks. Unfortunalty, core 100 cards are all at 100%. Is there a way to reset these cards? It remains no matter what I do. I have tried deleting the deck, then adding it back. But nothing works. I'm seeing a similar problem in Core 200, 300, 400, and 500 deck.

Also, although I like the slide bar option to rate how well I did on a card, how can I switch back to the old mechanism? It mentioned that this would be possible if I wanted.

Thanks,
Daniel

For the slider option:
- go to the edit site of a flashcard deck
- on the top you will see 3 Radio Buttons: Answer with: "Auto" "Always scale" "Always buttons"
- select "Always buttons" and save
- the next time you launch the deck you should now see buttons instead of the scale

For the reset of decks:
it seems that the system manages deck progress based on deck names per user. So what should help you is:
- delete all your decks
- create new decks with a different name

So if your deck was Called "Core 100", creat a new one that is called "New Core 100" or smith like this. Progress should be at 0% then. Worked for me.
Update:
just tried the method i mentioned above. This doesn't work anymore. So i actually don't know of any method to reset the progress of a deck. Sorry.

Thanks adelholtz! I was able to get the buttons back.

Fortunately the progress reset problem is only showing up with the core100 slides. I can just review them in the edit list. I pretty much know them all anyway.

I appreciate your help,
Daniel

Actually, I was testing my reading comprehension of some of the Kanji that had been at 100%. Common words like 週, 腕, 笑う. Although I am still 100% in the listening comprehension and when I see the Kana or Romaji, I instantly know what I'm reading, I am still really weak on the Kanji. I would really appreciate support on this issue from the JPOD team if possible. I'd rather not have to use a different software to work on these Kanji.

Thanks,
Daniel
