Last night I was watching a food show called "Onigiri Atatameru," that is rebroadcast her in Southern California on channel 18.2. Three people in a van travel around the countryside trying all sorts of different restaurants.
Last night's episode featured a restaurant I believe is somewhere in Hokkaido. A big building surrounds a replica of an wooden Japanese fishing boat sitting in an artificial pool of water. People sit at tables inside the boat and literally fish for their dinner. Fish swim in the pool around the boat and the customers try to catch them with small fishing poles. Once dinner is caught, the waiter comes up and asks them how they want it prepared (sashimi, grilled, etc.).
Unfortunately I couldn't make out the name or the exact location of the place. I hope someone recognizes or knows of the place from my post and can give me that information.
With appreciation for any reply.
