Teriyaki-Beef or Chicken

Postby ali17 » May 25th, 2006 12:34 am

I was wondering if Teriyaki joints are big anywhere else.

The two things that you can always find in Seattle is a Starbucks(there really is one on every corner) and a Teriyaki joint (also found on every corner). With names like Lucky Teriyaki, I Luv Teriyaki....etc...etc...

All they usually serve is teriyaki stir fry with rice or noodles and beef or chicken sometimes with fried tofu. It is always a lot of food and a cheap eat.

Is this kind of food found in Japan or is it just a US Japanese adaption?

What kind of cheap eats are there in Japan?

Ponzu is more popular now, I think.

You can go to an izakaya (Japanese tapas bar) and pick up some pretty cheap eats.
