Dictation/Voice Recognition Software

Postby Javizy » August 1st, 2007 8:30 pm

I've got pretty bad RSI, so I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to transcribe English text as well as commands, mouse clicks, etc. I also have difficulty using a pen, which is very frustrating.

I'd like to keep a diary in Japanese, and generally practise writing. I haven't been able to do this so far, and feel that it has really slowed down the learning process.

So, sob stories aside, I was wondering if anyone knows of any voice recognition packages with a Japanese engine. I know the latest version of Dragon does, but it requires a minimum 1GB of RAM to run

I'll try anything at this point, I've attempted googling it but the search just keeps going in circles, and I really wouldn't know what to query in Japanese.

Any help would be much appreciated 8)
