Will be new in Hitachi-shi

Hi!

I will be new in Hitachi-shi in early 2017. I'm wondering if anyone has been there and could tell me what it is like there. I will be living there a year to teach English.

My Japanese is at quite a basic level of beginner, so I'm wondering how easily I can get around while being new to the language and area.

I'm also curious about the availability of wifi.

I would appreciate any advice, opinions, facts, and so forth.
