Looking for a Japanese Japanese language tutor in Singapore

I am taking a beginner Japanese language course in Singapore currently, preparing for first-level of JLPT. There isn't much chance for speaking or writing practice in class, and I hate the textbook, it has almost no exercises.

I would like to employ a tutor for once or twice a week who can help me practice and drill the lessons that I'm learning.

i am residing in Singapore too. i don't know of any tutors, but http://japanese.meetup.com/7/ is quite an active community and they do organise frequent meetups.

if you are looking for a textbook with practice exercises, you can probably try minna no nihongo. it is pretty decent (and darn affordable, compared to all the rest at kinokuniya).
