A grammar point I have never encountered before

I was reading a book the other day when I came across this sentence:

俺を俺をって注釈入れすぎて白黒ついた美味しいお菓子みたいになってんじゃねぇか。

While I understand the last part of the senctence, I don't recon seeing 俺を俺をって or any similar expressions before. I think my brain just stops working once I read 俺を俺を. Does anyone know how to interpret the this sentence?

I can’t guess what s/he is talking about at all because I can’t see the context.

However, I think they are two people, the speaker and the listener.
The listener should be a male and has said ‘me!, me!’ before the speaker says that sentence.
It’s annoying the speaker and s/he says that sentence.
