単語 (vocab)

Postby hisraem » September 27th, 2014 12:06 pm

こんにちはみんなさん。
お元気ですか。

hello everyone!

lately i've been a little lost in my japanese study. Mainly beacause althought i have a quite decent knowlede of the japanese grammar, my vocab is quite low, i mean i probably know more then 5000 words but still every time i try to read a book or an article i find myself looking at the dictionary every 2 words or so.

do you guys have any tips on how to grow vocab? so far all i've been doing is memorizing the vocab from my textbooks.

thx alot

Hisraem さん、

今日は。
I can understand your struggling.
However, if you have to look up words in a dictionary so many times, the book is too difficult for you at the moment.
It’s said that books which you can understand 80% of the context without a dictionary are good for learners.
Although I am not sure what genre you are interested, you can try the website below.
http://www.bauddha.net/
It has both Japanese and English sentences.
