arriving at your hotel

Greetings all, I will be making my very first sojourn to Japan next week, I an so looking forward to it. I was just revising the arriving at the hotel podcast and had a thought.

I am arriving in Japan at approximately 8am, my hotels check in time is 3pm. I am going to leave my bags there for the day as this is pre arranged, however, should the desk clerk not have any english, how would I ask for that ?.

"May I leave my luggage here please until my 3pm check in" or something like that.

Chekkuin made nimotsu wo azukatte moraimasu ka?

You could also say baggu instead of nimotsu.

I remember doing something similiar and I prefaced it with - -

sumimasen ga... yoyaku ga arimasu demo...
excuse me... I have a reservation but...

There's also the te mo ii construction maybe,

sumimasen ga... yoyaku ga arimasu demo chekkuin made nimotsu wo azukatte moratte mo ii desu ka?
Excuse me... I have a reservation but is it allright if I leave my bags with you until check-in?

I found a book at my University's library called "All About Particles", a cute little pink book that was very helpful to me. It does one particle at a time, listing ways to use it, and provides examples (both roumaji and kanji/kana). I don't know how expensive it is, but it's a small paperback so it can't be too bad...
