I need a little explanation about hoshii mono da: I found only :everyone want....
Ok for 給料はもっと増やしてほしいものだ
but here: もっと家事をして欲しいものだ, this translation look strange, no?
I can't find explanations in my grammar books...

"Mono" can take one of two possible meanings in these cases. It can simply mean "thing", or it can be used to express a long-standing emotional reason for something.

The first sentence is not clear (at least to me) from context. So it could be either. I'm leaning towards the first explanation myself.

給料はもっと増やしてほしいものだ。
Salary is something that [everyone] wishes would be increased.

In the second sentence, it's almost certainly used to supply an emotional reason.

もっと家事をして欲しいものだ。
[Because] for a long time, I've been wishing that [you/my husband] would do more housework.
