Word Power android problems

I purchased the Word power app from google play today, and the audio doesn't work. I have downloaded the extra media needed for the lessons and still no audio.

I have noticed the app turns my audio off as well - and despite turning the volume up I still get no audio.

Is there a problem with the app or am I just 'extra lucky' here?
