海鼠哉

Postby rshiplett » August 2nd, 2012 12:26 am

I ran into 海鼠哉 on my own web page.

I know 海 and I know 哉 ( I have web pages up for both ) but whatever is 鼠 ?

Now I load a light-weight copy of kanjidic2 when a user asks for a definition because it takes no more time than any other alternative - and after it is loaded, it is FAST.

But ALAS ! 海鼠 is a compound kanji for namako !

added dictionary popup

Postby rshiplett » August 3rd, 2012 6:08 pm

I added a dictionary popup today for those compound kanji by breaking up edict2 into 9 files.

For single kanji, I pull them from one Kanjidic2 file
