mitai na and mitai ni help

Can someone explain the difference between mitai na and mitai ni and how to use them both correctly because im am still confused even after listening to the lesson texting turmoil 1 thank you

Mitai na = adjective
as in: fushigi mitai na koto - a thing like a miracle

Mitai ni = adverb
as in: kare mitai ni shitai - I want to do it like him

adjective = describes noun i.e (quick job)
adverb = describes the way a verb is done i.e. (do the job quickly)
