Postby ugabuga111 » September 27th, 2009 6:22 pm

We are japanesepod101 should be watashitachi wa japanesepod101 desu. but they say japanesepod101 ichimaruichi desu. what is this ichimaruichi and why isnt the subject at the beginning? i always thought when you say I, you, we, etc that it goes at the beginning. thanks

They don't say Japanesepod101 ichimaruichi, they say JapanesePod ichi maru ichi, which is JapanesePod101. ichi = one, maru = circle. They sometimes use their word 'circle' for zero, similar to the way that we sometimes say 'O' (as in the letter) instead. One Oh One, Ichi Maru Ichi.
