Help translating articles

Postby orkamad » September 14th, 2009 8:08 am

Hey there,

Recently I came across some very interesting articles and its in Japanese. The files are in PDF image format so I cannot copy and paste the text. I can read and understand the simpler kanji but the more complex kanji I cannot read what it says.

Can anyone help me?

Here's the articles (flash + PDF needed)

Thank you

Yes it's a shame they scanned them rather than putting them up as a proper pdf.

Although tedious, I think the best way to get through those pdf is to use a site like Tangorin, who provide a multi-radical kanji finder. So basically you click on the parts of the kanji on-screen that match what you are seeing in the kanji in the pdf.

You will slowly find the kanji's meaning and be able to get an idea of what the pdf says. Because of the enormous amount of text on these pdf's you might want to break it down in to smaller parts to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

Once you have the kanji, you can use Jim Breen's Word Translator to cut and paste and help with an tricky compunds.

Best of luck.
