Adopting a Japanese Name

Is there some how ... some way ... some sort of resource that could be put together to help people interested in adopting a Japanese name? Something to provide the parameters for a proper name? Assistance in selecting one so we don't inadvertently choose something foolish-sounding or vulgar, etc.?

That a great idea! I also want to have a Japanese name but I don't know how to begin so I support this idea too. :D
