I recently discovered what is common knowledge to native Japanese speakers: there is quite a profound difference between [責任を取る」 and [責任を持つ」, even though both are translated into English as "to take responsibility". Since responsibility is so very much emphasized in Japanese culture, it would seem worthwhile to have a lesson in which the various idioms and verbs involving sekinin are explored.
