Just a suggestion but as you're at an intermediate level you might get more out of speaking to Japanese people rather than another 2nd language learner. Especially if you want to practice aural skills.

One to one conversation with a native Japanese speaker while extremely difficult really raises your ability after a while.

I don't go but a friend of mine thinks London Japanese Meetup is good.
There's a notice board in the Japan Centre on Piccadilly where I think you could post a note looking for a language exchange partner.
