Gyaku-gire

I was just reading about gyaku-gire, and I think it would be neat to have a lesson based on it!

It can be kind of translated to "losing it" and it's when someone who should apoligize, gets really mad instead. And is quite often used to describe the (as many Japanese see it) increasingly self-centered younger generation.

Gyakugire means a behavior that the person gets angy without reasonable excuse when he is being scolded or blamed for his obvious mistake.

約束(やくそく)を守(まも)らなかったと責(せ)めていた時(とき)、彼(かれ)は逆(ぎゃく)ギレした。
When I was blaming him for not keeping him promiss, he got angry (without resonable excuse).
