meaning of 連絡を差し上げる

I feel like I should know this already, but the proper interpretation of this has me stumped. I mean I already know what 連絡　and 差し上げる　mean on their own, but this...

Any help would be appreciated. I'm guessing it means "to get in touch with (someone of higher status)", but I'm not sure.

This is one of those under-documented 謙譲語 forms. Above します is いたします, and above いたします is 申し上げます. Likewise there is やる (to lower status), あげる (polite, to upper) 差し上げる (most polite) meaning "to give." The meaning of that sentence depends on context, but I would say it means [we/I] will contact you.
