My recent trip to Kanazawa

Postby punisher » June 10th, 2008 1:05 pm

I returned tha past Saturday for the greatest trip I ever embarked upon. I really wanted the famous Interrogation at Japanese Pod 101, but we were nowhere near Tokyo.

We went with little money, but praise God everyone in Japan was so nice and helpful.

I Flew into Kansai and met Mr. Fukuoka on the plane. He took it upon himself to ensure we went through customs easily and got us all the way to our hotel.

We met him the next day at his company, where I interviewed with the team there about job opportunities and how things work there, and later we all had lunch together. We said goodbye, and toured Osaka. By the way for all the newbies, when they say "we are closing soon", that means Get out now! We were a bit slow in Osaka Castle, and they escorted us out. First time being escorted out of a castle.

My journey included, 6 planes, 9 Trains, 3 Busses, 2 Taxis, at least 20 car rides (influding a 5 hour trip to get from Kyoto river area, to a Kyoto hotel), 2 boats, 1 High school, 1 elementary school, 1 machine tool company, 1 graphics design firm, a swim in the ocean, 1 Ryoukan, 2 Onsen baths, 1 evening tea at Buddist tera, 3 Japanese families bending over backwards, and homestays in Kanazawa and Wakura.

...did I mention it was only 2 weeks.
