translation check

Postby giulianoz » July 12th, 2007 7:52 am

みなさん、こんいちわ,
I'm trying to translate the following sentence... "after a moment, nothing moves". From my inexperience I've got "nanimo wa syunkan ato de ugokasimasu". I bet there are at least one error in every word :) Can you point me to the right translation ?

Well I don't have the answer neither but I can say this:

Your sentence means more "Nothing is a moment after moving" (which by the way doesn't mean anything at all  ) than "after a moment, nothing moves". You interverted the 2 parts of the sentence didn't you? And if you use 何も you should use the negative form of the verb if I remember correctly... so one part of the sentence should be: 「何もうごきません」.
「あとで」 should be OK but for the rest I don't know at all sorry :(
